Boards
How do I make a board?
Type your plan into the box on the home screen, the way you would explain it to a colleague, and press Enter. MindMap turns it into a board of goals, phases, tasks, decisions and risks, connected left to right.
Can I change a board after it is made?
Yes, two ways. Type a follow-up such as “add an SMS reminder” and the board is updated with your hand-made changes kept. Or edit directly: double-click a card to rename it, drag cards around, connect them by dragging from one edge to another, and use Tidy to lay everything out again.
What can a card hold?
A title and detail, plus a type, a status, an owner, a due date, notes and a colour. Select a card to open its panel.
What is Explain flow?
A walkthrough that steps through the board from start to finish, one card at a time, with the rest dimmed. Use the arrow keys to move and Esc to stop.
How do projects and search work?
Projects group related boards in the sidebar; use a map's menu to move it into one. Search (Ctrl K) looks inside every card, not only board titles.
Plans and prompts
What counts as a prompt?
Every time you send text to build or refine a board. Dragging, editing cards, connecting and tidying are free and never count. If a prompt fails, it is handed back.
What happens when the free prompts run out?
Free accounts get 10 prompts a month. After the last one your boards become view-only: you can still open, search, walk through and delete them, but not change them. The allowance comes back on the 1st of the month, or straight away if you upgrade.
What does Pro include?
500 prompts a month and boards that are always editable. See pricing for the monthly and yearly price.
Billing
How do I cancel or change plan?
Open the menu under your name, then Manage billing. From there you can cancel, switch between monthly and yearly, update your card and download invoices. A cancelled plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Who handles payments and VAT?
Payments are processed by Stripe, which also calculates and collects any VAT or sales tax due in your country. MindMap never sees your card number.
Your account
Who can see my boards?
Only you. Boards and projects belong to the account that made them.
How do I change my name or password?
Open the menu under your name and choose Settings.
How do I delete my account?
Settings, then Delete account. It cancels any subscription and permanently removes your boards, projects and login.
