Cookie Policy
MindMap uses only the cookies it needs to work. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser, so it can recognise you on your next request. Similar technologies, such as a browser's cache storage, work the same way and are covered by this policy too.
The cookies we set
Both are strictly necessary: MindMap cannot sign you in securely without them. Under EU and Estonian law, strictly necessary cookies do not need your consent, which is why we do not show a cookie consent banner.
| Name | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| planmap_session | Keeps you signed in, so your boards open without logging in on every visit. Signed so it cannot be forged; not readable by page scripts. | 30 days, or until you log out |
| mindmap_oauth | Protects Sign in with Google against forged requests while you are away at Google. | 10 minutes, deleted after sign-in |
Other storage on your device
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Offline page (cache storage) | If you installed MindMap or visited before, a small “you are offline” page is kept so something useful shows without a connection. It holds no personal data. | Until you clear site data |
Third parties
- Stripe. When you upgrade or manage billing, you go to Stripe's own pages, which set their own cookies for payment security and fraud prevention. See Stripe's cookie policy.
- Google. When you choose Sign in with Google, you sign in on Google's pages under Google's cookie rules. If your account has a Google profile picture, it is loaded from Google's servers.
Our fonts and images are served by MindMap itself, not by third parties.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block planmap_session, you will not be able to stay signed in to MindMap.
